Freelance Tool: EverNote
As a freelancer, I am always looking for processes and tools to simplify my freelancing. I do freelance writing, blogging and social media for different clients with different backgrounds. I use different tools for project management, accounting, time tracking and more. The other day I was looking for something to help me with all the notes I accumulate for projects and what not. Someone told me about a tool called Evernote.
I just started using Evernote for cataloging notes and information that I gather while I am out. So far I am impressed with this product. The installation on my Mac was easy and the web interface works great as well. As I said before, I am just starting my journey on the Evernote train, but am quickly becoming a fan.
For those out there that are not familiar with Evernote, here is a basic summary of what I understand it to be:
Evernote allows you to capture information in different places using different devices or platform and make that information accessable and searchable from anyplace, at any time. You can capture web pages, voice recordings, images, text and more. It has a cool feature to be able to search inside of images for text. That’s pretty freakin’ cool! There is much more to see on what this product can do at the web site – http://www.evernote.com
As I continue my journey on the Evernote train, I will update this blog with reviews of it along with other reviews of other tools to assist with those that freelance as I do.
If you use Evernote, I would love to hear from you. I would love to hear what your thoughts are of this product and useful information you have for using it.
