As someone that is always looking for interesting and valuable tools, I came across a screencasting tool that is unique. It works together with Twitter via a web-based app to capture screencasts on your computer. The site works on both PC and Mac platforms.

The one thing that is quite nice about this tool is the cost; it is absolutely FREE.

Twitter Worm Released

On Saturday, April 11, 2009, a worm started to make its rounds on Twitter. It seems that the worm infects users of Twitter when they either visit profiles of infected users or visit the StalkDaily web site. Users that become infected will have their account start to send out spam into across Twitter directing users to that site.

Do You Use a Photo on Twitter?

With all the hype in the media about Twitter, many people are twittering about everything and from everywhere. Not only is there the web interface, but there are many other Twitter clients to use. With all the twittering going on, I had a question come to my mind.

How many people on Twitter actually post a photo of themselves?

When I am on Twitter I see different mixes of photos of people, avatars of movie characters and some that people create on their own that resemble a cartoon character. I do have a photo of myself on my Twitter profile. It’s not the greatest photo, but I am working on redesigning my Twitter page soon.

I wanted to know more and figured I would put up this poll to see who actually posts their own photo or something that is made elsewhere.

Using Social Media to Land a Job

The job market today is uncertain and chaotic. Finding employment can be a uphill battle at times.

I just came across a interesting story about someone that came up with a very innovative way to market for a position with Twitter. I have to say, this is one of the best ideas I have seen for using Social Media to market one’s self for a job.

As in previous posts, I am on the Twitter train and learning more about this interesting service each day. It does work very well for networking and meeting others in your arena.

As in previous posts, I am on the Twitter train and learning more about this interesting service each day. Twitter can be used to make some great contacts and network with people that you would not have the opportunity in other arenas.

Some may hate it, some may love it. For those that love it, ever wonder if there were statistics for Twitter? Keeping track of how many tweets per month, what client you were using, who have you replied to are just some of things that you can track at Tweetstats.

I am a person that likes to have statistics to use for research and possible business opportunities. With the use of Twitter for business, I find this a very interesting and useful service.

Twitter is many things to different people. It is used as a social network, messaging, recruiting tool, news service and much more. I have been on Twitter for some time now and have found the power of the Twitter train.

One of the ways to use Twitter is for news. It still amazes me to see some news stories come up on Twitter as quickly and timely as most do. With the tweets of the news, you are able to just wait and let the news come to you on Twitter.

With all this going around on Twitter, ever wonder what the top retweeted urls would be?

The other day I came across one site that has this information. A interesting site full of information on statistics for Twitter.

This plugin will allow you to post your latest blog posts onto the Twitter web site.

Dan Zarrella has created TweetSuite. It is a suite of Twitter functionality that fits into a WordPress plugin.

3. Twitter Updater

This plugin will allow you to post your latest created, published or updated blog post to Twitter with custom text.

4. Twitter Counter

For those that want to show your follow rate. This will put a badge on your blog to show how many Twitter followers you have.

5. TwitterDash

This is a plugin that will add Twitter to your WordPress dashboard.
